The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta

The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta's Fayette Fund was established in 1994 to help individuals, corporations and foundations respond to the charitable needs of Fayette County residents.

Through a variety of funds and giving options, we can help donors fulfill their charitable intentions and leave a lasting legacy for the benefit of our community. The Fayette Fund offers convenience and expertise for those who wish to make charitable contributions to nonprofit organizations in and around the Fayette County area.

Our goals include:

  • promoting visionary philanthropy
  • building and preserving a collection of endowment funds and
  • distributing funds to nonprofit organizations that serve Fayette County residents.

What programs do we support?

In addition to our local unrestricted Fund, qualified Fayette nonprofits may be eligible to apply for grants from The Community Foundation's CF’s Common Good Funds (formerly Competitive Grants Program). Grants awarded from these funds support organizations working in the following areas:

  • Arts
  • Community Development
  • Education
  • Health
  • Human Resources

Additional Funding

Through generous contributions from local donors as well as matching dollars from The Community Foundation, the Fayette Fund offers a competitive grants program that is available to Fayette-based nonprofit, 501(c)3, agencies. Annual grants from this program are awarded via a competitive process to help qualified Fayette nonprofit organizations meet the changing needs of the Fayette County community. The 2007 deadline has passed. The application and guidelines for reference only are posted below.
