The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta's Clayton Fund was established
in 1992 to help individuals, corporations and foundations respond to the
charitable needs of Clayton County residents.
Through a variety of funds and giving options, we can help donors fulfill
their charitable intentions and leave a lasting legacy for the benefit
of our community. The Clayton Fund offers convenience and expertise for those
who wish to make charitable contributions to nonprofit organizations in
and around the Clayton County area.
Our goals include:
- promoting visionary philanthropy
- building and preserving a collection of endowment funds and
- distributing funds to nonprofit organizations that serve Clayton County
residents.
What programs do we support?
Nonprofit organizations in Clayton County can apply for a grant from
our local unrestricted funds. Grant applications and guidelines will be
posted on this website prior to our annual grant cycle. In our first 10
years of serving the needs of Clayton County residents (1992 – 2002),
we proudly awarded over $325,000 to 40 Clayton nonprofit organizations.
Through generous contributions from local donors
as well as matching dollars from The Community Foundation for Greater
Atlanta, the Clayton Fund offers a competitive
grants program that is available to Clayton-based nonprofit, 501(c)3,
agencies. Annual grants from this program are awarded via a competitive
process to help qualified Clayton nonprofit organizations meet the changing
needs of the Clayton County community.
The deadline for the next grant cycle is not yet announced.
