William Lucas Memorial Scholarship

Eligibility

• A graduating high school senior beginning college in Fall 2008
• Resident of the city of Atlanta or the city of Gainesville, Georgia
• Minimum 2.5 GPA
• Acceptance to an accredited institution of higher learning and pursuing an undergraduate degree in social work, education or allied health field
• Demonstrated history of commitment to community service
• Previous recipients are encouraged to reapply, but must maintain at least a 2.5 GPA and submit the current application form
• Previous recipients are not guaranteed additional awards

When are scholarship awards announced?

Decision letters are usually mailed to applicants six to eight weeks after the deadline.
