Metropolitan Atlanta Youth Opportunities Initiative (MAYOI)
The Metro Atlanta Youth Opportunities Initiative (MAYOI) is a local pilot of
the Jim Casey Youth Opportunities Initiative
(JCYOI), a national effort to help young people make successful transitions
from foster care to adulthood. Formed by two of the leading foundations focused
exclusively on child and youth well being, Baltimore-based Annie E. Casey Foundation
and Seattle-based Casey Family Programs, JCYOI's mission is to bring together
the people and resources and create opportunities for youth in transition. JCYOI
has made a three-year commitment to the Metro Atlanta effort.
